At Finca Curubanda, the trail to La Leona Waterfall begins directly on our property. Choose from three guided round-trip routes: the 2 km Short Route, the 3 km Regular Trail or the 2.5 km Extreme Route. Each offers a different way to follow the Río Blanco through volcanic terrain and caves. At the end, swim through the canyon using a fixed support rope to reach La Leona Waterfall, where you can enjoy swimming in the turquoise pool inside.

Arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled tour and check in at reception with your reservation on your phone or printed. Enjoy secure monitored parking and lockers while our team welcomes you and gets everything ready for your adventure.

Forest and river hike

Once you reach the trailhead, the real adventure begins. Hike through the forest, cross the Río Blanco, explore caves and rocky canyon trails, and use stairs and support ropes along the way while spotting local wildlife such as monkeys—all leading to the spectacular La Leona Waterfall.

Equipment and briefing

Before hitting the trail, our team will provide you with a life jacket and a dry bag to keep your phone and valuables protected. Your local guide will then give you a clear safety briefing, explain what to expect along the route, and make sure everyone is comfortable and ready for the adventure.

Canyon and waterfall

At the end of the trail, swim about 25 meters into the canyon using a fixed support rope—the only way to see La Leona Waterfall hidden inside. Once inside, enjoy an unforgettable view of the waterfall surrounded by volcanic canyon walls.

Transfer to the trail

After your safety briefing, enjoy a short 7-minute 4x4 transfer from our Adventure Center to the property where your hike begins. Guests arriving in their own 4x4 vehicle may also drive directly to the trail starting point.

Return to reception

After the adventure, hike back to the pickup point for your 4x4 transfer to reception, where you can change, relax, and visit our souvenir shop. If you booked another activity, our team will guide you to the next experience.
